Hello Lee McEwen,
Thank you for writing to us here in the Microsoft community.
I understand how frustrating it can be when the cursor misbehaves while typing on your Mac. I just want to inform you that loop is still in its infancy that functionalities are missing or buggy.
I just want to ask a few questions as to narrow down the problem. It is important to answer this to provide more detailed troubleshooting steps.
- How frequent your problem in a day?
- Is there any changes with the device?
Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve your solution:
- Try to uninstall/reinstall the application.
- Turn Off Tap to Click:
- Go to the Apple menu, then select System Preferences.
- Click on Trackpad.
- Uncheck the box for Tap to Click.
- If the cursor stops jumping around, it’s likely that your fingers or wrist were accidentally touching the trackpad while typing
- Keep Your Trackpad Clean and Dry:
- Dirt, water, and natural oils from your fingers can affect the touch sensitivity of your trackpad.
- Use a lint-free cloth (slightly dampened if necessary) to keep the trackpad surface clean.
- Alternatively, place a piece of paper over the trackpad and try using it through that. If the cursor behaves better, consider using a trackpad cover.
Let me know if the issue persists, and we can have other options.
I hope you find this information helpful.
Regards,
Michael Jr.
