The typing cursor does not go where my mouse clicks!

When I'm navigating a loop document, I'll scroll down the page and click my mouse on a line of text i want to edit. I'll even double click the line to be sure. But when i start typing, for some reason the active cursor remains at its original spot elsewhere in the document. Then, I have to manually bring the cursor down to the line i want to edit with the keyboard arrow keys!! This is an absolute flow killer.

This happens constantly and can be reproduced at will in any loop doc.

I have been experiencing the same issue - for a month now.

My current Safari is Version 17.3.1 (19617.2.4.11.12). It is repeated every few seconds I use the app in Safari. I'm happy to demonstrate this.

This is not an issue in Brave Browser.

    Hi Lee McEwen,

    Thank you for your reply.

Sorry for the late reply. I do believe that it may be feature limitations. It would be better to submit a feed using the feedback hub. According to this Microsoft Article.

I wish! Glad it worked for you though and hope it continues to do so.

I have the same issue now, on Chrome, since a few days and is getting unbearable.

And no, @Microsoft, my fingers are not drunk and not realising when touching the pad by mistake. It is the SAME TRACK PAD for all the other apps and websites you realise?!? .... and it doesn't happen anywhere else. I wish MS stopped the gaslighting already and making us users look like idiots and/or do tons of work to fix issues that should be done by your paid staff!

How nasty to give paying customers Beta versions and so many bugs and have the audacity (I mean on most of MS forums and platforms, as well as bilaterally) to look down on us and put us try a number of fixes that take too much time and energy, that just not fix anything and finally put the fault on us anyways!!
