Hi Ced,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand how frustrating it can be when you're trying to log out your Outlook Account, and the app just doesn't respond as expected. I'm here to help!
This is actually a known limitation of the Outlook mobile app. Unlike the desktop version, there’s no traditional “Sign Out” button. Instead, you sign out by removing your account from the app. Sometimes, cached credentials or background processes can keep the account partially connected, which is why you might need to restart the app once or twice for the sign-out to fully take effect.
Check out this thread it discusses similar issues: https://free.blessedness.top/en-us/answers/questions/4641469/is-it-possible-to-log-out-of-the-outlook-app-on-my
To fix this, I suggest to open the Outlook app settings, select your account under Mail Accounts, and tap Delete Account. This disconnects the account from your device but doesn’t delete your actual email account. If you’re using a Microsoft account, you may also need to clear saved credentials from your phone’s settings or browser to prevent automatic sign-in.
Let me know how it goes. If you found this helpful, marking it as helpful might make it easier for others to find the solution. Thanks!
Regards,
Carlo
