    Hi Katie,

Thanks for contributing to the Microsoft Community.

It sounds like you'd like to sign out from the Outlook app on your android phone. The answer is yes, you can definitely manage your account in Outlook.

    Allow me to ask.

    1. If you wouldn't mind me asking, may I know the reason why you'd like to sign out from Outlook?
    2. What's the domain of the email account you have in Outlook?

I found this Microsoft Community thread who that has similar issue with you. According to the thread, here's how it is done.

    1. Open the Outlook app on your Android device.
    2. Tap the circle at the top left corner of the screen.
    3. Tap the gear icon at the bottom left corner of the screen.
    4. Under "Mail accounts," select the Outlook account you want to log out of.
    5. Tap "Remove Account."
    6. Confirm that you want to sign out the account.

NOTE: The delete account option you saw is a term used equivalent for "sign out" or "log out". It won't deactivate or close your account.

You can also view the thread to learn more. Let me know if you have concerns or if there is misunderstanding on our side. I hope this helps!

    Sincerely,

    Hi Froilance,

Thanks for your response to Katie. I was asking myself the same question. After reading your response it seems that I need to delete my account to 'sign out' of Outlook. Is this correct or have I misunderstood something? Is there a way of logging out of Outlook on an android phone without deleting the account?

    Thanks

    Martin

I would really like the answer to this question. I am constantly getting notifications on my phone (not in my email) saying Microsoft wants my credentials. I thought if I signed out and then signed back in it might stop it. I do not want to delete my account. I'm afraid to put my password in. I just want it to stop,.

I do not want to delete pr remove my account. I simply want to be able to sign out when I'm finished. Why is there no sign out option?
