Recently my local hosted IIS services is not running after the new update. My visual studio projects also can't be run as well. I have to delete the new update in order to run my projects and local hosted services again. May I know what is the problem?

    Hi Sashi Kumar ,

    Thanks for reporting this.

The behavior you're experiencing with IIS (Internet Information Services) and its impact on Visual Studio projects may be related to recent system changes. Here's a temporary workaround that has helped others restore IIS Manager functionality:

    • Uninstall KB5066835 and KB5065789 These updates may interfere with IIS-related services. Removing them has resolved the issue in several cases.
    • Restore the administration.config file Try locating subfolders (e.g., CFGHISTORY_000000001x) under the C:\inetpub\history directory. These folders often contain earlier versions of the administration.config file. Copy one of these files to the C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config directory to help restore IIS Manager successfully.

    Hope this helps!
