Yeah the instructions aren't accurate. Click the gear -> Account (under General) -> Click on the email address you want to remove -> scroll down and click Remove Account.

2024-05-07T00:30:30+00:00 Hi. Thanks for the info. When I click on 'Remove Account' does it remove the account completely i.e, I need to go through setup again if I want to use Outlook? Or does it just log me out, and I can get back into Outlook by logging in?

2024-05-07T14:07:14+00:00 It removes the account completely, but to add it back on, it's not much more than just logging in. It doesn't delete your account or anything. There's no way to just do a basic log-out with Outlook unfortunately.

2024-07-19T17:59:54+00:00 I want exactly the same, I was using my work account and looked for a simple switch to log out when I'm not working. I don't want to remove my account just log out, plain and simple. I don't understand why this isn't a feature to say how big the company is.

2024-07-23T14:07:08+00:00 I agree with you100% I've looked everywhere and I cant find a straight forward answer anywhere from Microsoft to say why they don't put a logout button like most other pages do.
