So what operating system is installed now; 8.1 or 10?

And we don't work for Microsoft.

    >"the folder is now 32 gb from 300gb what should i do"

It seem that you run Media Creation Tool to create installer and use external disk instead of USB stick and that's how MCT work: If used USB device is more than 32 GB it will delete all partitions and create new 32 GB partition. (There is warning in MCT that content of used USB device will be deleted.)

You try use some data recovery tool and hope it can recover some of your data. Another option is to contact some commercial data recovery service.

What ever you do Do not write anything to that 300 GB USB disk!

Try this free Program to attempt to recover your Data, or you may need to use Data Recovery specialists, who are very, very expensive.

There is also a portable version which you don't have to install on your hard drive

This is an interesting article about file deletion and recovery of same:

Why Deleted Files Can Be Recovered, and How You Can Prevent It

When you delete a file, Windows removes the pointer and marks the sectors containing the file’s data as available. From the file system’s point of view, the file is no longer present on your hard drive and the sectors containing its data are considered free space.

However, until Windows actually writes new data over the sectors containing the contents of the file, the file is still recoverable. A file recovery program can scan a hard drive for these deleted files and restore them. If the file has been partially overwritten, the file recovery program can only recover part of the data.

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@

    A word of advice:

You should always have your data backed up to at least two external media destinations (external hard drive, DVDs, flash drive) in case of system file corruption and/or hard drive failure

    Cheers.
