I want to create a subscription on the Azure Portal but I can't verify my phone number.

The next screen I get:User's image

I've tried many phone numbers for my country and I had the same result

@Andrew Tsybulia Similar issue I handled it, couple of days back, where you need to contact our support via one of the contacts mentioned here (you can pick Ukraine based contact) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

This issue with phone number validation during Azure Subscription Sign up can be resolved by creating a support ticket and working with our Azure subscription team.

Create a support ticket and do share it for reference, so that I can track it internally, get this sorted for you.

I found the problem to be with me using Google Chrome on my laptop.

I did read other comments about trying it on your phone will work OK, but I was curious, so I used my alternative browser on my laptop - Firefox - And this worked OK.

I did not try signing up on my mobile however I expect this would have worked also.

So it could have been the version of Google Chrome I was using, or there was some rubbish or saved info in Google Chrome's cache. I could have I suppose reset Chrome to defaults and retried, but then I would have lost all my other settings...

Just posting this as I know some people prefer to sign up to stuff on a larger screen, not a mobile phone.

Hope this helps for you all.

As another commenter mention - if you try the verification on Edge browser on Windows it should work.

...utterly inept implementation from Microsoft here.

Issue with Phone Validation During Signup on Azure (Windows vs. Mobile Workaround)

I faced an issue while signing up for Azure on my Windows laptop—my phone number couldn't be validated, preventing me from completing the signup. However, when I tried signing up using my Android phone, it worked fine. After successfully signing up on mobile, I was able to log in on my Windows laptop without any issues.

If anyone else is stuck with phone validation errors on Windows, try signing up via mobile first and then logging in on your laptop. Hope this helps.
