Represents a journal in Business Central.

Methods

GET journal journal Gets a journal object.
DELETE journal none Deletes a journal object.
POST journal journal Creates a journal object.

Bound actions

The journal resource type offers a bound action called post which posts the corresponding journal batch. This is illustrated in the following example: POST https://<server address>:<server API port>/<server instance name>/api/v2.0/companies({id})/journals({id})/Microsoft.NAV.post

The response has no content; the response code is 204.

Properties

Property Type Description
id GUID The unique ID of the journal. Non-editable.
code string The code of the journal.
displayName string Specifies the journal's name. This name will appear on all sales documents for the journal.
templateDisplayName string
lastModifiedDateTime datetime The last datetime the journal was modified. Read-Only.
balancingAccountId GUID The balancing G/L Account ID.
balancingAccountNumber string The balancing G/L Account number.
