[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation instead of DirectShow, when possible. put_CCEnable method enables or disables closed captioning.
Syntax

);
Parameters
[in] lCCEnable
Specifies whether closed captioning is on or off as a long integer.

| 1 | Closed captioning is on. |
| 0 | Closed captioning is off. |
Return value
When this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise it returns an HRESULT error code.
