Alternate calculation for "Total meeting hours summarized or recapped"

The metric issue causing underestimation of the Copilot assisted hours and Copilot assisted value is due to calculations of the Total meeting hours summarized or recapped metric, which is currently in Public Preview. To reach a more accurate calculation of this metric for September and October 2025, you can use a multiplier from August (the most recent month before this issue occurred).

1. Use the following formula to calculate the multiplier

Multiplier for August = Total meeting hours summarized or recapped for August / (Intelligent recap actions for August + Summarize meeting actions for August)

2. Then use the following formula to compute the estimated Total meeting hours summarized or recapped for September or October

Total meeting hours summarized or recapped for a given month (such as September or October 2025) = (Intelligent recap actions for given month + Summarize meeting actions for given month) x Multiplier for August

This formula incorporates true counts of recap and summarized actions in the given month, and uses the multiplier from August to compute an estimated value for Total meeting hours summarized or recapped.

Go to the Meetings deep dive page and hover over the trendline point for the prior month to get the metrics for each of the following:

• Total meeting hours summarized or recapped
• Intelligent recap actions taken using Copilot
• Summarize meeting actions taken using Copilot
