IFWXPerRuleData::PrepareRulesData method

The PrepareRulesData method prepares the per-rule configuration data for a single rule for use by the filter.

Syntax

HRESULT PrepareRulesData(
  [in]   IFPCPolicyRule *pPolicyRule,
  [out]  IFWXPerRuleDataplugin **ProcessedRulesData
);

Parameters

• pPolicyRule [in]
  Pointer to the IFPCPolicyRule interface representing the rule.

• ProcessedRulesData [out]
  Address of an interface pointer that on return points to an IFWXPerRuleDataplugin interface representing the processed per-rule configuration data. This data is processed by the Microsoft Firewall service when it starts, or when the rules are changed.

Return value

This method returns S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, it returns an error code.
