IFPCPublicNames::Item method

Applies to: desktop apps only

The Item method retrieves the requested public name from the collection.

Syntax

HRESULT Item(
  [in]   VARIANT v,
  [out]  BSTR *pItem
);

FPCPublicNames.Item( _
  ByVal v As Variant, _
  ByRef pItem As BSTR _
) As String

Parameters

• v [in]
  Required. Name or one-based index of the item to retrieve.

• pItem [out]
  Pointer to a BSTR that is set on return to a string value specifying the public name.

Return value

C++

This method can return one of the following:

• S_OK, indicating that the operation succeeded.
• An error code, indicating that the operation failed.

VB

This method returns a string specifying the public name requested if successful. Otherwise, an error is raised that can be intercepted by using an error handler.
