You can store digital content on a different server than that from which the content originates, and you can proxy content from other servers. This can help you deliver higher quality content to clients by minimizing bandwidth, decreasing latency, and offsetting the load on the origin server. You can use a cache proxy plug-in to set cache proxy policy for the server. Windows Media Services does not provide a cache proxy plug-in, but you can create your own. For more information, see Creating Cache Proxy Plug-ins, C# Cache Proxy Plug-in Sample, and Proxy Plug-in Sample.
