How to: Reverse a Transaction (Master Data Services)

In Master Data Services, reverse a transaction when an action needs to be undone.

Note

You cannot reverse Member Annotation transactions.
You can reverse transactions to reactivate members. For more information, see How to: Reactivate a Member or Collection (Master Data Services).

Prerequisites

To reverse transactions that you created, you must have permission to access the Explorer functional area.
To reverse transactions for all users, you must have permission to access the Version Management functional area and be a model administrator. For more information, see Administrators (Master Data Services).

On the Master Data Manager home page, from the Model list, select a model.
From the Version list, select a version.
Click either Version Management or Explorer.
From the menu bar, point to Review and click Transactions.
In the Transactions pane, click the row in the grid for the transaction you want to reverse.
Click Reverse selected transaction. Another transaction is added to the grid to record the reversed transaction.
