Connector Description

The CleverTap connector for Microsoft Power Platform enables seamless integration between Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights and CleverTap's customer engagement platform. This connector allows you to export customer segments from Customer Insights directly to CleverTap, enabling you to leverage your unified customer data for targeted marketing campaigns and personalized customer journeys.

Prerequisites

Before using this connector, you need:

  1. CleverTap Account: An active CleverTap account with API access
  2. CleverTap Credentials:
    • Account ID (found in your CleverTap dashboard under Settings → Account)
    • API Passcode (found in your CleverTap dashboard under Settings → Account)
    • Region information for your CleverTap instance
  3. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights: Access to Customer Insights - Data with segment creation capabilities
  4. Power Platform License: Appropriate licensing for using premium connectors

How to Obtain CleverTap Credentials

  1. Log in to your CleverTap dashboard
  2. Navigate to Settings → Account
  3. Copy your Account ID from the account information section
  4. Copy your Passcode from the API credentials section
  5. Note your region based on your CleverTap URL:
    • dashboard.clevertap.com → Europe
    • us1.dashboard.clevertap.com → United States
    • in1.dashboard.clevertap.com → India
    • aps3.dashboard.clevertap.com → Asia Pacific
    • sg1.dashboard.clevertap.com → Singapore
    • mec1.dashboard.clevertap.com → Middle East (UAE)

Supported Operations

Upload Profiles

  • Purpose: Export customer segments from Customer Insights to CleverTap
  • Use Case: Transfer unified customer profiles and segment data for campaign targeting
  • Data Fields Supported:
    • Email address
    • Phone number
    • Full name
    • First name
    • Last name
    • Custom profile attributes

Getting Started

  1. Create Connection:

    • In Power Platform, search for "CleverTap" connector
    • Provide your CleverTap Account ID, Passcode, and Region
    • Test the connection to ensure successful authentication

  2. Set up Data Export:

    • In Customer Insights, navigate to your desired segment
    • Choose "Export" and select CleverTap as the destination
    • Map your Customer Insights fields to CleverTap profile properties

  3. Configure Export Settings:

    • Set up automatic or manual export schedules
    • Define data refresh intervals based on your campaign needs
