If you remove the dock and just connect the external monitor direct to the USB-C port, is the video output on that port working correctly without the dock?
USB-C Port Not Outputting Display (DP Alt Mode), But Data Transfer Works Fine
Hi,
I’m using a Victus 16 (2022) laptop with two external monitors:
One monitor is connected through HDMI and works perfectly.
The second monitor is connected through a USB-C port using a Portronics Mport 9-in-1 dock, but it suddenly stopped showing any display.
Here’s what I’ve checked so far:
The USB-C port still works for data transfer and charging, so it’s not fully dead.
The dock and cable both work fine with another device.
The HDMI monitor works fine, so GPU output is okay.
I’ve updated Intel and NVIDIA drivers, and also installed the latest Windows updates.
It used to work before, but now only the HDMI output works.
Could this be a hardware issue with DP Alt Mode, or something related to drivers or BIOS settings?
Any help or suggestions to diagnose this would be appreciated.
Thanks!
