What happens exactly? If you start Word, create a new document and save it to the Documents folder on your Mac and exit the program, can you then not reopen the document?

Does this problem occur with only one file, or all Word files?
Do Excel files also have this problem?
Is your data encrypted?
- Press Windows + R > Type control /name Microsoft.BitLockerDriveEncryption > Under Operating System Drive, and Fixed Data Drives, check if BitLocker is enabled or disabled.
- Also tell me if you use the "Encrypt contents to protect data" option in File Properties > Advanced.
Try copying the problematic Word file to another location. Copy it to C:\ or to the Music folder (it's usually not synced with OneDrive, if OneDrive is active), and try opening the file.
Also check the file permissions. Right-click on the Word file > Properties > Security > Advanced > Send a screenshot.
