I had to reset my phone and am having a tough time getting my data recovered. I have signed in and out multiple times and cleared the cache, storage etc. Latest notification said "Unable to Recover Your backup is not stored with [Redacted] . Try signing into a different Microsoft account." I have been backing up my Authenticator data since 2022 to that email. Help ASAP. I can't get my esim setup without it. How can this be resolved?

It seems like you're experiencing issues with recovering your Microsoft Authenticator backup after resetting your phone. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this:

    1. Check Microsoft Account: Ensure that you are signing into the same Microsoft account that you used for backing up your Authenticator data. If you have multiple accounts, try signing in with each one to see if your backup is associated with a different account.
    2. Backup Settings: Verify that backup settings were enabled on your old device. If the backup was not properly set up or if it was disabled, you may not be able to recover your data.
    3. Update the App: Make sure that you have the latest version of the Microsoft Authenticator app installed on your new device. Sometimes, issues can arise from using outdated versions of the app.
    4. Contact Support: If you are still unable to recover your backup, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance. They may be able to help you recover your data or provide additional troubleshooting steps.
    5. Alternative Recovery: If you have other forms of recovery set up (like SMS or email verification), you may want to use those to regain access to your accounts temporarily while resolving the Authenticator issue.

Unfortunately, if the backup is not available with the account you are trying to access, it may not be recoverable. In that case, you would need to go through the process of setting up your accounts again in the Authenticator app.
