I have a copilot studio agent which is deployed on Teams. In this agent i call another agent. This functionality works fine when tested in copilot studio. However, it fails with below message -

Sorry, the bot can't talk for a while. It's something the bot's owner needs to address. Error code: ConnectedAgentBotNotFound. Conversation ID: <conversationID-PII removed>. Time (UTC): 10/30/2025 7:52:40 AM.

  1. both agents have been published
  2. both agents are available on teams.

    Hi Amit Jain,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

I’ve reviewed your description and understood that you successfully developed and tested a multi-agent system using Connected Agents in Copilot Studio, but after publishing to Teams, the functionality fails even though the configuration appears correct.

I researched the error code you provided and related discussions, and while this issue seems rarely reported, here are a few suggestions you might consider trying:

    1. Verify Teams App Policies
Double-check your Teams admin settings to ensure custom app permissions are enabled. You can refer to this article: https://free.blessedness.top/en-us/microsoftteams/teams-custom-app-policies-and-settings#allow-users-to-upload-custom-apps
    2. Reset Channel and Republish agents
Disconnect the channel, then re-add it and republish the agent. After that, reinstall the agent in the Teams client. Detailed steps are available here: https://free.blessedness.top/en-us/microsoft-copilot-studio/publication-add-bot-to-microsoft-teams#disconnect-an-agent-from-teams
    3. Clear Teams Cache
If you are testing on the Teams desktop client, clear the cache as described in this article: https://free.blessedness.top/en-us/troubleshoot/microsoftteams/teams-administration/clear-teams-cache#new-teams

If the problem continues after trying the above steps, I highly recommend raising a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. A support agent can review more detailed tenant-level configurations, collect diagnostic logs or escalate issue to the engineering team if any anomalies are detected.

I hope these suggestions help. Please let us know if you need further assistance or encounter any additional errors.
