Hi David Nguyen
Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum and providing detailed screenshots. I understand that you're experiencing issues with Copilot.
Please note that our forum is a public platform, and we will modify your question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.
The error you’re seeing may be related to a broader service issue. According to this official Microsoft 365 Service Health page, there is currently a service degradation affecting some Microsoft 365 services and portals. Impacted scenarios include:
- Access to Microsoft 365 portals and admin centers
- Issues with add-ins and network connectivity in Outlook
- Reduced functionality in Teams workflows, including features leveraging Copilot
- High latency or errors in Microsoft Copilot Dashboard and related analytics
Microsoft is actively working to restore full functionality after a configuration change impacted Azure infrastructure. Updates are posted regularly on the Service Health page.
Meanwhile, here are some recommended steps you may consider trying:
First step is to completely sign out of your Microsoft 365 account from any Office app, then close all Office applications, and then sign back in.
Next, kindly confirm which version of Office you are using. Please ensure your Office apps are fully updated, as Copilot relies on the latest versions to function. You can check for updates by navigating to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now. On that same File > Account screen, it's also worth verifying that your license is listed correctly and confirming with your IT admin that the Microsoft 365 Copilot license is active on your account.
Finally, as a quick check based on your screenshot, you appear to be on the 'Insert' tab. On my testing, Copilot still appears in the Home tab in many Office apps. Could you please recheck and confirm if Copilot is missing there as well?
Microsoft has a comprehensive troubleshooting guide: Copilot is Missing, Disabled, or Doesn't Work Correctly - Microsoft 365 Apps | Microsoft Learn. I highly recommend reviewing the steps outlined in this official document.
Microsoft is currently addressing this service issue affecting Microsoft 365 and Copilot. If you still experience problems after following the troubleshooting steps provided, please wait until the incident is resolved. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
