    Hello @Nic

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

To help us better assist you, could you kindly clarify the following:

    1. Are you using a personal Microsoft account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com), or a work/school account (e.g., @yourcompany.com, @school.edu)?
    2. Do you see any specific error code or message when the sync fails? If yes, could you please share a screenshot of the error? (Please remove or blur any personal information before sending.)
    3. Is this issue happening across all your notebooks, or just one specific notebook?
    4. Are you using OneNote across multiple devices (e.g., PC, mobile, tablet)? If so, does the issue occur on all devices?

While we investigate further, here are a few additional steps you can try:

    1. Check notebook size: OneNote notebooks stored on OneDrive have a 2GB limit. Check that your notebook does not exceed the file size limit of 2 GB. Browse to the file location and right-click to show the file properties.

    2. Sign Out and Sign Back In:

In Microsoft OneNote for iOS, go to Settings on your device:

    • On an iPad, tap the gear icon in the upper right corner.
    • On an iPhone, tap the ellipsis ( ... ) icon and then tap Settings

Open OneNote, tap the back < icon in the upper-left corner of the screen until you see your list of notebooks, and tap the gear icon next to the account name and email address.

On the Settings screen, under Account, tap the account name.

Tap the account name again and then choose Remove Account

Accept the notification that appears to confirm signing out.

Double tap the device's home button and swipe up on the OneNote app to close it.

Start OneNote and sign in to your account again

This forces the app to refresh your credentials and check the storage status anew.

    3. Isolate the Section (If possible):

If only one section or page fails to sync, try copying the content from that page into a completely new page in a different notebook to see if it works. This can sometimes bypass a corrupted section file.

Please let me know the answers to the questions above and share any error screenshots if available. Your input will help us narrow down the root cause and provide a more targeted solution.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
