I would like to leave my family because it blocks my access to various applications that are important. I am already eighteen years old, and my parent doesn't even exist because my brother once imposed this kind of restriction on me after we had an argument. So I simply ask to be removed from the family I am in.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I'll give you steps on how to leave a Family group.

    • Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/family
    • Sign in with your Microsoft account (the one restricted which is your account).
    • Under your family, locate your name.
    • Select Leave family group (you’ll see a link or a three-dot menu next to your profile).
    • Then confirm

Note: If you don’t see the “Leave family group” button, it means your account is still classified as a child account. Go to the next step.

Change your birthdate (if you’re already 18)
