How do I activate my subscription?

I just logged into my Microsoft account and subscribed for the yearly plan. I then got an error message saying "the purchase was successful but we were unable to associate it with your Microsoft account". It does not let me log in. Now, when I try to log in it says no subscription. How do I fix this?

    Did you use the same Microsoft account to complete the purchase and to sign in afterward? Please check your order status at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/ordersto confirm if the payment shows as completed.

    If it does, sign out, clear your browser cache, and sign back in with the same account. If the subscription still does not appear, contact Microsoft Support at https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing so they can link your subscription to your account.
