I understand you want your OneNote Android version to be able to store multiple notes on one page like the desktop version.
The mobile app uses a mostly linear text canvas on a page, so tapping a blank area doesn’t start a new floating note container.
I have found and tested a viable workaround that is suited for your need:
- Use OneNote for Windows or OneNote for the web to create multiple note containers by clicking different spots on the page; there you can grab the move handle to reposition, resize, or merge containers. The Android app will show those containers later on your OneNote Android.
This workaround will enable you to be able to create new note everywhere on the page and drag them around on your OneNote Android version.
