Hi Jaskaran,
Thanks for posting here in the forum. It seems that the settings app is crashing. I'm here to help.
To fix the Windows Settings app crashing, try repairing or resetting the app through its settings, or use Command Prompt to run the SFC and DISM scans to fix corrupted system files. If those don't work, consider updating Windows or your graphics driver, or performing an in-place upgrade.
Repair or reset the Settings app
- Open the Start menu and right-click on the Settings app entry.
- Click "App settings" (or "App settings" from the right-click menu) to open the advanced options.
- Scroll down to the "Reset" section.
- First, try clicking "Repair." If that doesn't solve the issue, click "Reset".
- Restart your computer after the process is complete.
Run SFC and DISM scans
- Open Command Prompt as an administrator by searching for "CMD," right-clicking it, and selecting "Run as administrator".
- Type
sfc /scannowand press Enter to scan for and repair corrupted system files. - After the SFC scan is complete, type
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealthand press Enter to repair the component store. - Restart your computer after both scans are finished.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
