    Dear Aditya,

Thank you for posting your question to the Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand it can be very frustrating when you expect to see the Copilot icon and it's just not there. This usually happens due to a few common reasons related to licensing, software updates, or settings:

    1. License: This is the most frequent reason. To use Copilot in Outlook and Teams, you need a specific Copilot for Microsoft 365 license assigned to your account. A standard Microsoft 365 Personal/Family or basic Business license doesn't automatically include it.
      • You can confirm with your IT administrator (if it's a work account) or check your Microsoft account subscriptions to ensure you have an active Copilot for Microsoft 365 license.
    2. Account Type: Copilot for Microsoft 365 is primarily designed for Work or School accounts. Full integration is generally tied to these business licenses.
      • Please ensure you are signed into Outlook and Teams with the specific Work or School account that has the Copilot license assigned.
    3. Admin Policy (Work/School Accounts): Your organization's IT administrator might have disabled the Copilot integration through a policy setting.
      • If you have confirmed you have the license and are updated, you can check with your IT department to see if there are any policies restricting Copilot access.

A good way to isolate the issue is to first check if Copilot appears in the web applications. This will tell us if the problem is with your account/license or with your local desktop apps.

If the Copilot icon is also missing on the web, the issue is almost certainly related to your license or an admin policy.  If the Copilot icon does appear on the web, the problem is almost certainly with your local desktop application installations.

By checking these points, you should be able to identify why the Copilot icon isn't showing up. I hope this explanation provides some clarity on what may have transpired. Please let me know how these suggestions work for you, or if you'd like assistance in navigating Microsoft's support channels.
