Hi! Update errors can occur for a variety of reasons. Maybe your Windows Update is having problems or is missing pending updates.
What error are you getting when trying to update?
- Completely uninstall your VPN, antivirus, and banking software. They can cause problems even when disabled.
If the problem persists, try repairing Windows Update.
- Type "'Command Prompt'" in the Search Bar > Right-click on the app > Select '''Run as administrator''.
- Now let's type the following commands. ATTENTION: Type the entire command on the first line > Press ENTER > Wait for the command to complete > Run the next command on the list.
net stop wuauserv
net stop bits

net stop msiserver
Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
