My Classic Outlook World not open when you clicked on the icon. This happened all the time. If you re-boot, everything was fine for a few days. Yesterday evening, the Microsoft Tech, Yugesh, worked on my system. He deleted Outlook and other programs. When my system was finally up, he had me test my Classic Outlook. It opened but I noticed that all of my SENT emails were gone. He said it would take time to populate all of my email folders. This morning, my SENT folder is still empty. What happened to them?

    Hi Earl,

Thanks for sharing your concern here in the forum. Your sent emails are likely gone because the Microsoft technician reinstalled Outlook without correctly re-establishing the connection to your email account's server, or because the local Outlook data file was not properly configured. You should check if your email account is still configured correctly in Outlook, or if you can access your emails through a web browser version of your email service to confirm if they are available online. If your emails are not on the server, contact your email provider for further assistance.

Possible causes for your missing emails

Corrupted or missing Outlook data file: The technician's process may have resulted in a new, empty Outlook data file. If your emails were not stored on the mail server, they would be lost.

Incorrectly configured email account: Your email account may not be properly set up to sync with the Outlook client. This is especially true for POP3 accounts, which store emails locally.

Server-side issues: Your emails may be stored on your email provider's servers. If your account is connected to an IMAP or Exchange server, a new client installation might require some time to download them, as stated by the technician.

Deleted account information: The technician may have accidentally deleted your account information from Outlook.

    What to do next

Check online: Log in to your email account through a web browser to see if your sent emails are still there.

Let me know how it goes.

How do I check the above?? When I go into Outlook by going through a browser, the deleted files are there.
