Cannot send email in Hotmail!

Just started yesterday (10/24/25).

Hotmail will not allow me to send or respond to an email. Whenever I try to reply or send a new email I get a popup that states email was blocked.

When you click on the "More details" you get the following:

The last "sent" email was 10/23/25. I tried to send an email on 10/24 and again on 10/25, I get the same message.

Why is my Hotmail account being blocked? I can still receive emails, I just cannot send or reply!

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

This clearly show two separate but related Outlook/Hotmail issues:

    1. “Couldn't send this message: Bridge”
    2. “Your message wasn’t sent because there’s a daily limit for how many messages can be sent”

Let's check it one by one.

    1. Go to https://outlook.live.com, do a test email to yourself.

This bypasses the “Bridge” service and often works even when the app is rate-limited.

    1. Confirm You Haven’t Hit the Limit

Go to https://account.microsoft.com/security look for any alerts labeled “Sending limit reached.”

Note: After doing a test (1 email only) email stop already. Since we're trying to identify if it reached the limit of sending out emails each one ca extend the block (if you really hit the limit)

You can proceed to the step for checking the limit. When sign in on the link did you find any message at all that says "Sending limit reached"
