Dear Azure Support Team,

I have both a university email address and a private email address. I registered for Azure and provided my bank card details because I need to use the free $200 Azure credit for a university homework assignment. However, my university account is linked to my private account and I cannot access the Microsoft Entra ID settings — access is declined.

Please help me remove the saved bank card from my Microsoft account so I can create a new private billing profile and register with my private email address. Also, could you confirm whether the free $200 Azure credit can only be used with one card/account per person?

Thank you for your assistance.
private mail: ******@gmail.com
university mail: ******@stud.uni-obuda.hu

Kind regards, Sándor

    Hey there, KlvriSndor-1614

It sounds as though you have signed up to the Azure free offer using your personal email address. However, you have signed into the tenant for your university rather than your personal tenant.

Please sign into the Azure portal here: https://portal.azure.com

Once you have signed into your account, please look at your sign-in information on the top-right of the browser window. Under your email address, you should see what tenant you are currently signed into.

    User's image

If this is showing your universities tenant, please click onto your profile and click onto 'Switch directory'

    User's image

This will take you to your settings page where you can select a directory you want to switch to. Please click onto the directory you wish to switch to and click onto the button to switch to that directory.

    User's image

This will allow you to switch to that directory. You will then want to click onto 'Cost Management + Billing' (You may need to search for this in the search bar at the top of the portal.).

    User's image

This will load the Cost Management service. Please scroll down to subscriptions, do you see your Azure Free subscription?

Also, could you confirm whether the free $200 Azure credit can only be used with one card/account per person?

The credit you get is tied to the account used to create the subscription. You should be able to view the remaining balance available when signing into the sponsorship portal here: https://www.microsoftazuresponsorships.com/Balance

    Hope this information helps,
    Nathan
