Hi Tom Saw,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum.
Thanks for sharing your concern about converting issue on your OneDrive. Based on your description, Windows 10 is not a problem impact on your case. This situation might from a lot of reason, so I would like to ask whether you have any error message on your end? Where exactly does the conversion fail—OneDrive web, Word/Excel desktop, or “Microsoft Print to PDF”?
If you need a guaranteed path right now: (Reference: Export to PDF error in Word 2016: "Export failed due to an unexpected error")
- Open the file in Word for the web → File → Save As → Download as PDF.
- Or open the file in Word desktop → File → Print → Microsoft Print to PDF (after re-enabling the feature if needed).
Moreover, here are some quick checks to support you:
- Update OneDrive app:
- Press Start, type OneDrive, open it → Settings → ensure you’re signed in.
- Install the latest OneDrive: Download OneDrive.
- Check OneDrive storage & sync state:
- If your account is full or stuck “processing changes,” export/download may fail. Use the guided OneDrive troubleshooter and storage guidance.
- Storage and common errors overview.
- Try another browser & disable PDF-related extension: Extensions (ad blockers, PDF viewers) can block web exports—test in InPrivate/Incognito.
- Service health: If it worked last week, a service issue might have been rolling. Check Microsoft 365 service status: Service Health portal.
