Can you please recommend how to stop HP laptops from charging on reaching, say, 80%?

Tried to turn on Smart Charging for 2 HP laptops . . . my 17” cp0013dx and my wife’s 15.5” dy1004la, which are both running Windows 11 25H2.

After Googling I tried both:

(i)            Using the HP Support Assistant application: but the battery section, doesn’t have the "Battery Health Manager" or the "Smart Charging" feature, and

(ii)           By changing the setting in the BIOS: but again, it doesn’t have "Battery Health Manager" nor "Adaptive Battery Optimizer".

Both laptops are 3 years old, and I therefore assume that the Smart Charging feature was introduced later.

Is there an HP and/or Microsoft fix or work around?

If not, I would be grateful if someone can recommend a good (preferably free) 3rd party app which works on the laptops themselves (not like "Battery Smart Charger" which requires a smart connector).

Many thanks in advance.
