KB5056579 Causes issues with legacy Physicians office management software called “Inphase” that uses MS Jet and DAO. Removal of the update solves the issue.

installation of 579 causes long delay after initial sign in screen and then significantly slows down other activities

    Here are steps to resolve it:

    1. Uninstall KB5056579:
      • Go to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
        • Click View installed updates.
          • Find KB5056579, right-click, and choose Uninstall.
          1. Pause future updates (optional):
            • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
              • Click Pause updates for 7 days to prevent reinstallation temporarily.
              1. Report the issue to Microsoft:
                • Use the Feedback Hub app to log the problem for long-term resolution.
