Have you right clicked on your desktop and looked at View? The image below is from my desktop computer. Select how you want your icons to show and then place them where you want them. I use Medium icons, Align icons to grid and Show desktop icons. I have Windows 11 Pro, 25H2

    Hi Gerald,

You put them back into tidy rows and past positions.

    To adjust icon spacing

    1. Right-click the desktop.

    Select Display settings.

Under Scale & layout, try changing Scale to 100% (or your previous value).

If icons still look too spread out, right-click desktop > View > toggle Auto arrange icons or Align icons to grid.

    To restore previous icon positions

    Right-click desktop.

    Go to View.

Untick Auto arrange icons, so Windows stops reshuffling them.

Try Sort by > Name (or the sorting you previously used).

If you recently changed screen resolution or connected a monitor, return to the original resolution to bring icons back where they were.

If you want a safety net, apps like DesktopOK can save and restore icon layouts with a click.

    Regards
