Hi @Joel D Koblentz,
Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.
A sudden font size change in the Notes section of Contacts or while composing emails in Classic Outlook for Windows can happen due to accidental zoom or view settings. Here are some steps you can try:
1/ Check zoom settings:
- While composing an email, press Ctrl + 0 to reset zoom to 100%.
- Alternatively:
Click inside the message body.
Go to Format Text > Zoom.
Set it to 100%.
2/ Adjust reading pane zoom:
If the issue occurs in the Reading Pane:
Hold Ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel to adjust zoom.
3/ Reset view settings:
- Go to View > View Settings > Reset Current View.
This will restore default font and layout settings.
4/ Check Windows display scaling:
- Right-click your desktop > Display Settings.
- Ensure Scale and Layout is set to 100% or recommended.
5/ Repair Office:
If none of the above works:
- Right-click the Start button (lower-left corner) and select Installed apps on the pop-up menu.
Select the Microsoft 365 or Office product you want to repair, click the ellipses, and select Modify.
Note: This will repair the entire Office suite even if it's just one application you want to repair such as Word or Excel. If you have a standalone app installed, then search for that application by name.
- In the window How would you like to repair your Microsoft 365 and Office Programs, select Online Repair > Repair to make sure everything gets fixed. (The faster Quick Repair option is also available, but it only detects and then replaces corrupted files.)
