I have an assignment for my college class (Maui development) that essentially just tests if everything is working properly. When I build the solution, I get these error messages. User's image

I've tried deleting and reinstalling Visual Studio, and that didn't work. Is there something I can do to help the installation work correctly? What are some fixes I can try? Please let me know If I need to clarify anything else.

    Maui 8 is out of support, thus the warnings. the target platform 1.0 is too old to build a current mobile app, as it is too old to be signed. You must upgrade to a newer target.

    It appears you are using a really old Maui release, which will not work mobile platforms anymore. You should install the Maui 9 or Maui 10 workload, and create a new project.

    note: if you are trying to load an existing sample project, its will need to be migrated before it will run. You might just want to create a new project.

    Here's what I had to change. In the .csproj package versions:

    <ItemGroup>

    <PackageReference Include="Microsoft.Maui.Controls" Version="9.0.0-preview.1.9973" />

    <PackageReference Include="Microsoft.Maui.Controls.Compatibility" Version="9.0.0-preview.1.9973" />

    <PackageReference Include="Microsoft.Extensions.Logging.Debug" Version="9.0.0" />

    </ItemGroup>

    Them I ran these commands:

    dotnet restore

    dotnet build

    That seemed to fix the issue.
