Ignore this. It's only one endpoint so I'm deleting it and starting again. New one seems to be working ok.
The OpenAI Endpoints I create in Azure AI Foundry don't even DNS resolve
Azure AI constantly tries to get me to move my Azure OpenAI resources to AI Foundry. I did this today for one resource and then created new OpenAI 4o-mini and 4o end-points in the newly created Foundry Project.
Neither of the end-points work as they both fail DNS resolution. This never happened in Azure OpenAI.
How do I either fix these or created end-points that can actually be used/accessed?

2025-10-24T15:18:57.66+00:00 I am trying to get some clarity here on Azure OpenAI resources.
Are those connected resources to Azure AI foundry or inbuilt ones.
Minimum Criteria for DNS resolution to happen is Both Azure OpenAI and AI foundry has to be same region and networking configuration with all respective resource providers of dependent resource pre-registered.
We need to have Managed identity enabled for resource with respective permission to communicate in virtual network.
Cognitive Services OpenAI contributor from OpenAI IAM for Azure AI foundry and user
Storage blob reader contributor from Storage IAM for Azure AI foundry, OpenAI and User
Search Service contributor from AI search IAM (if a search service being used) for Azure AI foundry, OpenAI and User
You might start checking DNS resolution first then check NSG and networking rules.
Attached Troubleshot guide of DNS resolution for reference.
You can Opt for Managed network to save networking effort
