Firefly Aerospace opened two months ago on the Nasdaq, ticket XNAS:FLY is not found in the current Excel selection list. How do I add this active XNAS ticker to Excel's list?

    Hi Randy,

Excel’s Stocks data type uses Microsoft’s data feed powered by Refinitiv. When a company is newly listed, it can take weeks or even months for the ticker to sync with Excel’s database. That’s why Firefly Aerospace isn’t showing yet, even though it’s active on Nasdaq.

    What You Can Do is:

    Update Excel

Go to File > Account > Update Options > Update Now to ensure you have the latest build.

    Try Different Formats

Enter FLY or NASDAQ:FLY instead of XNAS:FLY.

Highlight the cell, go to Data > Stocks, and check if Excel recognizes it.

    Use STOCKHISTORY Function

For historical prices: =STOCKHISTORY("FLY", TODAY()-7, TODAY())

    Pull Data via Power Query

Use Data > Get Data > From Web and connect to a source like Yahoo Finance or Nasdaq.

    Third-Party Add-ins

Let me know how it goes, Happy to help!
