I have an Azure Virtual Machine running Windows 10 Pro 22H2, with all updates up to and including KB5066791 installed. But the Windows Update screen is now showing "Your version of Windows has reached the end of support. Your device is no longer receiving security updates"
The official documentation advises: "No additional configuration or keys are needed in the following environments: Azure virtual machines" https://free.blessedness.top/en-us/windows/whats-new/enable-extended-security-updates
Do I need to do anything to enrol into the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program?
How can I demonstrate to our IT Security Team that the Azure Virtual Machine is still receiving security updates post October 14, 2025?

Your virtual machine (VM), being hosted on Azure, is automatically enrolled in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program and will continue receiving updates until October 13, 2026.
Azure Virtual Machines running Windows 10 (including version 22H2) are automatically eligible for Extended Security Updates (ESU) at no additional cost.
To verify that your VM is receiving ESU updates:
- Navigate to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update → View update history.
- Look for updates dated after October 14, 2025.
- If such updates are listed, it confirms that ESU updates are being applied successfully.

Note: The VM not being in a supported Azure billing model (e.g., it must be a pay-as-you-go or reserved instance VM; free-tier or dev/test VMs may not qualify).
