Hi everyone,

I manage a renewable energy website — nedes dot us — where we regularly publish technical blogs about solar panel installation and sustainable technology.

Recently, we noticed that some pages load slower on Microsoft Edge compared to Chrome. Our pages are heavy with data visualizations and embedded videos.

I’ve already tried:

Clearing cache and disabling extensions

Checking with Edge’s Developer Tools for render-blocking scripts

Ensuring images are optimized (WebP format)

Still, load speed metrics in Lighthouse for Edge are lower than expected.

Could anyone share best practices for optimizing website speed specifically for Edge users? Are there any Microsoft resources or flags I should explore to enhance performance?

Thanks in advance for any insights!

    hi Hamza, welcome in community

    Edge shares the same engine as Chrome, so no special precautions are required. I'd like to know what data is returned from Bing or Google search console? Are the Core Web Vitals values normal or not?

    Furthermore, this does not necessarily mean that there will be any problems with traffic; the overall situation of the website should be considered.

    let me know

    Elvis
