Outlook app on my Android phone stopped sending/receiving email

Worked fine for years, then suddenly kept asking me to enter my password over and over again. I deleted my account and re-added it multiple times. If I try and send a test email to myself, it shows up in my Sent folder, but goes nowhere else and never comes back.

    Hi,

Were you able to try checking if Outlook for Android has the latest update installed from the Play Store? Sometimes an outdated app version can cause repeated password prompts or syncing errors. Try first clearing the Outlook app’s cache and storage by going to Settings, then Apps, Outlook, Storage, and selecting Clear Cache and Clear Data. After that, remove and re-add your account again to reset all cached credentials and server sync links. If that still fails, make sure that "less secure app access" or "modern authentication" is allowed in your email provider’s account settings, since recent security updates sometimes block old login tokens. Lastly, confirm you can sign in directly through your mail provider’s webmail (like Outlook.com, Gmail, or Yahoo) to ensure the issue isn’t account-side.

Can I ask, are you using a Microsoft, Gmail, or work/school account?

    Kind regards,
