Hello,

My personal account is in endless loop of reset password and the automated tools do nothing to help me recover my account because they keep telling me to reset password. Which I do and then tells me that my account is locked and asks to reset password.

I have used account recovery form but it also just asks me to reset password and loops back to locked.

Obviously this isnt the same account because I simply cannot login on the actual account to ask for support on this issue and I am lost on what to do.

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

Since password reset and account recovery don't work, please try to follow the guide from this link: https://support.microsoft.com/office/unblock-my-outlook-com-account-f4ad2701-d166-4d8b-8a6a-9af2a1f8a4c4

If it doesn't work, kindly perform these steps to resolve an account block:

    1. Try using different devices and network services upon resetting your password.
    2. Wait 24 hours, but please make sure not to reset the password within that timeframe, as this may reset the cooldown.

If the issue persists after 24 hours, try waiting exactly 48 hours before resetting the password again.

You may also check the official Microsoft article regarding account blocks, particularly the "I see a Try another verification method message" tab: https://support.microsoft.com/account-billing/troubleshooting-verification-code-issues-409090c4-92b5-42b9-8ae6-bcc97e62fc48#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did#:~:text=If%20you%20received%20a%20Microsoft%20verification%20code%20that%20you%20did

Thank you for your understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best regards,

    Darhyl
