Is it truly possible to get an export of your personal data from Microsoft, or is it all procedural loops and technical jargon?

I’ve been waiting over a month for my personal data export from Microsoft. Despite multiple support interactions, I’ve received no resolution—only deflection. Most recently, support attempted to blame the XML error on my ISP (Spectrum), which is both technically inaccurate and misleading.

Here are the facts:

• I provided a clean, reproducible environment: fresh Windows 11 Pro install, no VPN, no encryption, verified identity, and Edge in private mode.

• The export link provided was:

• This is a Microsoft Azure Blob Storage endpoint. Any XML error stemming from this link is a server-side issue, not an ISP fault.

• Spectrum does not control Microsoft’s export APIs, authentication layers, or blob storage infrastructure.

• The error occurs after successful authentication and token validation, indicating a failure in Microsoft’s export generation pipeline—not in my local setup or network.

During my support session with a supervisor named Adam, I attempted to share my screen and demonstrate the error directly. Instead of engaging with the technical evidence, Adam repeatedly suggested switching devices, changing internet connections, and even contacting my ISP. These suggestions were not only irrelevant given the nature of the error, but they also diverted attention from the actual issue: Microsoft’s export infrastructure. I asked for the error to be documented and emailed to me, but that request was not fulfilled.

I request the following:

  1. A complete and valid export of my personal data from account creation to 10/23/2025 @5:20 PM.
  2. A formal acknowledgment that the XML error is not caused by my ISP.
  3. Escalation to the team responsible for export infrastructure and a technical explanation of the failure.

I am documenting this issue for regulatory follow-up. Please treat this request with the seriousness it deserves.

Can anyone help with this? I would appreciate it much! Microsoft Technical Support Chat was very unhelpful.
