only issue im finding is with resetting the componet part i get the following

took out my user name but rest is what happens when i try to rename the 2 folders to .old

i have both folders set to ownership of trusted installer ( from what i found thats what it should be correct if im wrong) with full permission

any help will be appreciated

note when i do net stop cryptsvc stop it fails to stop

i goto services.msc ( windows key and r) try to stop there i get the following

windows could not stop the cryptograph servis on local computer

Hi, I'm Bernard, a fellow Windows user. I'm happy to help!

This issue occurred due to a miscalibration on the Windows update. Since you have done renaming the SoftwareDistribution and catroot2, and are still having an issue, I suggest doing an in-place upgrade, wherein it will update the device to the latest version and repair all issues without deleting any files.

Kindly follow the steps from this link:

Hi, thank you for replying. Have you selected the ISO? It seems that you have run the Media Creation tool instead of the ISO. Kindly do it again and select the ISO.

Hi, thank you for replying, and I understand you on that. I just want to make sure that you downloaded the ISO, not the Media Creation tool. If yes, and still having an issue, I recommend waiting for the next update as it will supersede that particular update.

I understand you on that, in this case, I recommend waiting for the next update, as it will supersede that particular update.

In addition, what I can highly suggest is to post the issue on the feedback hub so that developers will also be aware of this problem, and hopefully, the fix will apply as soon as possible.
