We can see the extension available for windows but not for linux , we checked the prerequisites and we have core count 2 , memory 4 gb , and having supported operating systems as well , and tried with making Linux Hardening disabled too. still can't see the extension is this extension not available for mentioned regions

2025-10-27T06:31:33.33+00:00 Hi @Siva shunmugam Nadessin , we have around 2000 linux servers onboarded to azure arc from aws , gcp and nutanix and alos we have azure linux vms as well , we want migrate our scheduled ansible playbooks from awx to azure arc , we found that the workbooks can be used to run scheduled actions , but it requires the HybridRunbookWorkerLinux extension which is not available for us at the moment

- Azure Automation Runbooks with Custom Hybrid Worker: You could set up a custom Hybrid Worker that supports Linux-based environments. While the specific HybridRunbookWorkerLinux extension isn't available, you could still configure a custom worker on your Linux VMs to run the runbooks. This requires some setup but gives you the flexibility of running scheduled tasks.
- Use Azure Logic Apps: If your Ansible playbooks are performing tasks that can be translated into workflows, you might be able to use Azure Logic Apps with custom connectors for more granular control over scheduling and execution.
- Azure DevOps Pipelines with Ansible: If you're open to using Azure DevOps, you can create pipelines to run Ansible playbooks across your Azure Arc machines. This would offer more CI/CD capabilities and is a good alternative for scheduled tasks.
