Anyone has faced this error before? I have tested with different python version, but the error still persists. Seems like oryx issue here

How are you deploying the function?
The error occurs because Oryx can’t read Python SDK metadata which could be missing.
- It often happens due to an unsupported or unavailable Python version like
3.11.8. Remove explicit version or downgrade the python version. - Run
oryx platformsto check supported versions and use one that’s listed. - Force a clean Oryx build Remove any cached build layers or corrupted extracted files and redeploy the function.
rm -rf /home/site/wwwroot/* rm -rf /tmp/zipdeploy/extracted/* - Ensure your App Service or custom container uses the latest Oryx build image.

2025-10-23T09:48:35.5666667+00:00 Hi, I'm trying to deploy my Azure Function App using the command func azure functionapp publish fncorpfinancedev001 --build remote.
I’ve attempted both local and remote builds. The local build fails because the arabica_client (company library) dependency requires native or binary wheels, which are not compatible with my local environment.
The remote build, which uses Oryx on the SCM site, also fails—even when I try different Python versions such as 3.12.10, 3.11.8, and 3.10. The error persists regardless of the version. Is there a specific Python version officially supported by Oryx that works with such dependencies? It’s strange that even deploying a template function app results in the same error.

arabica_clientfor what Python versions and OS wheels it publishes. Suppose it only has wheels for cp310 and cp39. Then use Python 3.10 that maps to cp310 in Azure Function remote build. - In your Azure Function project’s
requirements.txt, pinarabica_client==specific_versionand check wheel availability manually. - Deploy the function with remote build using
--build remoteand ensure your Function App’s runtime version is set to 3.10.
