vs_isoshell 2015 install fail

I'm currently trying to install a specific program (Microchip Studio), but during the vs_isoshell installation, the program logo appears and repeatedly runs. I'd like to know a solution.

(It seems that vs iso shell installation is required to install Microchip studio.)

I've tried the following:

  1. Uninstalling the existing vs_isoshell, then reinstalling 2015 isoshell according to the link provided.
  2. Running as administrator.

But it still says it's running the vs_isoshell file, and only adds the logo, without showing the file to install.

(Note that I don't know what the problem is right now, as it was installed on another PC. However, I need to install the program on the computer that is currently having the problem.)

Hello Thanks for reaching out !

Fully uninstall existing Visual Studio components

    • Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
    • Uninstall any existing Visual Studio Isolated Shell or Microchip Studio entries.
    • Clean up leftover files
      • Delete the folders:
        • C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0
        • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft VisualStudio\Packages
        • Also clear %TEMP% folder.
        • Reboot your PC
          • This ensures no background processes are interfering.
          • Run the installer as Administrator
            • Right-click the vs_isoshell.exe and select Run as administrator.
              • Install prerequisites manually (if needed)
                - *Make sure .NET Framework 4.6 or higher is installed.*

                      - *Install Visual C++ Redistributables (2015–2019).*

                         - *Try installing Microchip Studio again*

                               - *Let it install the vs_isoshell as part of the set*up.
