Hi Renee Villaume,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum!
I truly understand how frustrating it is when Outlook for Mac uses so much memory that you can’t even keep it open, especially while trying to follow up with support. Please try the following steps carefully:
1. Force quit Outlook
- Press Command + Option + Esc, select Microsoft Outlook, and click Force Quit.
2. Uninstall Outlook and its data
If you want Outlook completely off your Mac:
- Quit Outlook.
- Go to Finder > Applications, drag Microsoft Outlook to Trash.
- To remove its data, delete the profile folder: Go to Finder > Go > Go to Folder, navigate to ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook and move it to Trash.
- Empty Trash and restart your Mac.
For more details, you can also follow this official guide: Uninstall Office for Mac - Microsoft Support
3. Reinstall Outlook (Optional)
If you still want to use Outlook after cleanup:
- Open App Store > search for Microsoft Outlook > reinstall. Then sign back in with your Microsoft 365 Family account.
You can see Download Microsoft 365 for Mac - Microsoft Support
4. Contact Microsoft Support through browser
If Outlook still crashes after reinstalling, please try contacting Microsoft Support again using a browser instead of the Outlook app via Contact - Microsoft Support. Look for and select "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" or a similar callback option then explain your situation clearly.
You can also share your previous case/order number so they can locate your open ticket and continue helping you.
I understand this has taken considerable time and effort already, I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Take care.
