    Hello Paul Nesbitt,

I understand you’re frustrated because your Mastercard expired and when you tried adding your Visa card, the system kept rejecting it saying your name was incorrect even though you entered “Paul A A Nesbitt.”

You need to use the exact format shown on the card or in the bank’s records. Enter “Paul A Nesbitt” or “Paul Nesbitt” if the card does not show two A’s.

Ensure the billing profile matches the cardholder's name. Also, make sure the Visa card is active and not restricted by the issuer.

Sometimes cached data causes validation issues. So, you can try to clear browser cache or use another device.

If the error persists, you can reach out to Microsoft support:

    1. Go to Contact Us - Microsoft and sign in your account.
    2. Type Billing and payments in the search box.
    3. Click Get help and Select Contact Support.
    4. Choose Microsoft 365 and Office as Products and Services; and Billing and payment updates as Category
    5. Click Confirm.
    6. You can choose to chat with a support representative.

Note: The chat support team only works during certain working hours. Therefore, if the last window indicates that you are unavailable, try opening it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
